Entry:

Age groups for the tournament are:

30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+.

A player is eligible to compete, provided he or she fulfils the age requirements on 1 January, 2012. (e.g. to enter 30+ you have to be born not later than 1981, to enter 35+ not later 1976, etc.).

The referee shall have the power to check the player’s age at any time. This can be done on referee’s own initiative or by request from a third party. Photo identification (e.g. passport; ID card) is considered as being valid documentation for age check.

Singles, doubles and mixed doubles will be played.

Playing doubles in a younger group with a younger partner is allowed. Players can participate only in one age group in the same game category. Single players belonging to older group are not allowed to play singles in younger age group, unless the groups are united.

Entries must be submitted not later than May 29, 2012, to gunars@badminton.lv with copy to uldis.abeltins@gmail.com.

Schedule:

Draw and schedule will be published at www.badminton.lv  with link to www.tournamentsoftware.com at 31^st May, 2012, not later than 10p.m.

System:

Groups and KO system will be used. The minimum entry in each event will be 3. For any event not having received the required minimum entry, the organizers shall have the right to put the entered players/pairs to another age group (award in each age group).

Shuttles:

Players shall play with their own Yonex AS-50 or similar shuttlecocks.

Courts:

12 wooden courts

In the case of a large number of participants, some singles could be played in 300 meters remote Valmiera’s Pargauja gymnasium sports hall.

Awards:

Winners in each age group (1.-3. places) will be awarded with medals.

Insurance:

Every participant bears full responsibility for his health status.

After party:

There will be an after party at the holiday complex „Avoti” www.avoti.com at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Participation fee is 15 LVL per person, (including banquet, sauna and swimming pool, excursion to the Latvian BMX Hall of fame in 8:30 p.m., golf course driving range, tennis games testing, billiard) and payable in cash at tournament hall.

Expenses:
