2015.gada jūnijā ir slēgtas Pirmās Eiropas Spēles, kuras mēs varam uzskatīt par Eiropas mēroga Olimpiskajām spēlēm. Tomēr līdz nākamajām lielajām Olimpiskajām spēlēm ir atlikušas mazāk kā 400 dienas - tas ir pietiekoši ilgs laiks sportistiem un viņu vadītājiem, lai plānotu sacensības un censtos iegūt pēc iespējas vairāk punktu un līdz ar to tiesības kvalificēties Olimpiskajām spēlēm Riodežaneiro, Brazīlijā, 2016.gadā.

Lai visiem interesentiem būtu iespējas savalaicīgi "turēt roku uz pulsa", sekojot līdz saviem favorītiem, kā arī pašiem sportistiem redzēt savu virzību un vietu kandidātu sarakstā, Pasaules Badmintona Federācija ir sagatavojusi atsevišķu lapu, kurā var redzēt spēlētāju reitingu konkrētā nedēļā, kā arī iespējas startam Olimpiādē. This first ranking list is called the “Notional Rankings – BWF Olympic Qualification”.

It takes the current world ranking and identifies who could qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympics if the qualification period ended that week.

 Please note the disclaimer on this page that reads as follows:

 “This ranking is not a final list of qualifiers for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Badminton competition, nor in any way guarantees invitation to, or acceptance in, the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Badminton Competition for any particular player or pair. It is a representation of who could qualify should the current week’s world ranking be used to determine the list of qualifiers. Furthermore, this list does not account for either the host wildcard spots in Men’s and Women’s Singles, or any Tripartite Spots, as provided for in the regulations.”

 The second ranking list is called the “Race to Rio – BWF Olympic Qualification Ranking”and it will show who could qualify each week based only on the points accumulated during the Olympic Qualification Period, starting in May 2015.
